PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a moving picture display property in the case where a so-called region scanning driving system is employed. SOLUTION: A data line is precharged with a voltage of positive polarity and the precharged voltage is written in a pixel of a certain row to reset and the voltage complying with a gradation of positive polarity is written in the pixel of the row parted apart by a prescribed number of rows. Further, the data line is precharged with a voltage of negative polarity and the precharge voltage is written in the pixel of other row to reset. The voltage complying with the gradation of the negative polarity is written in the pixel of the row parted apart from the other row by the prescribed number of rows. At this time, the precharge voltage of the positive polarity and the precharge voltage of the negative polarity are determined as the voltages corresponding to the gradations different from each other.
