PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To compactify and lighten an expansion pipe water leakage preventing device. SOLUTION: An outer circumference of the expansion tube 1 between pipe bodies p, p is covered by an expansion cover 2 having flexibility to water-tightly fix both pipe bodies p, p, connection of both pipe bodies p, p is maintained via the expansion cover 2 when the expansion pipe 1 is separated from the pipe body p, and an outer circumference of the expansion cover 2 is covered by a cylindrical protection cover 40. The protection cover 40 has a flat sheet part 41 made of fiber, and circumferential fiber reinforcement belts 42 and axial fiber reinforcement belts 44 fixed like a grid to the sheet part 41. Both ends 44a, 44a of the axial reinforcement belt 44 is fixed to both pipe bodies p, p. Swelling of the expansion cover 2 in an outer diameter direction due to a hydraulic pressure is constrained and reinforced by the protection cover 2, and most of force acting on the protection cover 40 is borne by the reinforcement belts 12, 14 extending in all directions.
