The invention relates to a method for producing one or several separate turning workpieces from a continuous and at least cylindrical or hollow cylindrical blank, in particular for producing external and internal rings for a ball bearing by means of a machine tool provided with external clamping chuck, an internal tensioning spindle and a machining tool, wherein the inventive method consists in processing at least one external surface or an internal surface of the blank end section in such a way that the surface of the final turning workpiece is obtainable, in machining remaining respective surfaces after clamping the workpiece in the external clamping chuck or internal tensioning spindle which fixes the workpiece by the surface processed at the first stage and in removing by turning material between the turning workpieces, for example between the internal and external rings of a ball bearing applying the external clamping chuck or the internal tensioning spindle to the freely rotating turning workpiece end. |
