The soil compact unit (1) has an earth element (2), with a vibrator (7) which is operated on an uprising area. The unit has a superstructure (3) which has a spring-damper element which is coupled to the earth element (2) via a drive and a part for the vibrator. A controller (5) is provided which has an electrical and or hydraulic line (28, 29) connected to the soil compaction unit. The connection to the controller includes electrical and or hydraulic line and the tools and or control being removed from non-destruction of the soil compaction unit.
