PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composite optical element having excellent optical characteristics free from the deviation of an optical axis.

SOLUTION: The composite optical element 10 is formed by molding an element base material having a pass-through opening part 11a formed in an outer diameter part, setting a resin material 7 on a female mold 6 when a forming layer 12 is formed, further setting pass-through opening part 11a to align with a projecting part 6a provided on the female mold 6 and pressing to align the optical axis of the element base material 11 and the optical axis of the forming layer 12 with each other.
