<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information medium reader which simplifies information medium reading operation and can shorten a time until the end of information reading as a result. <P>SOLUTION: An information medium reader including an information medium placing part 107 with a protruding portion is disclosed, wherein a radio antenna 105 is incorporated at an upper part in the protruding portion. Furthermore, a reading window 101 for a mechanical reading area is provided on a placing surface corresponding to a slope of the protruding portion of the information medium placing part 107. An information medium positioning member 111 is disposed on the side face of the information medium placing part 107, and an information medium anti-slip member 112 is disposed at an upper part of a main body 109 near the lower end of the information medium placing part 107. Switches 102a, 102b and 102c are provided in an information medium placing portion on the upper face of the main body 109 and the surface of the information medium placing part 107 and by placing a leaflet thereon, reading operation is started. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
