PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a guard fence for a snow-covered area, which can suppress the deformation of a beam, caused by the load of accumulated snow, over a long period of time, without deteriorating a function inherent in the guard fence. SOLUTION: Since a supporting fitting 1 makes an upper beam 2 supported from below by a lower beam 3, a position of the upper beam 2 is not changed. This can suppress the deformation of the upper beam 2, caused by the load of the accumulated snow, without deteriorating the function inherent in the guard fence. The lower beam 3 is held by a holding portion 13 which is provided at the lower end of the main body 11 of the supporting fitting 1, and the upper beam 2 is supported from below by a support portion 12 which is provided at the upper end of the main body 11. This can suppress the deformation of the upper beam 2 over a long period of time by hardly incurring the risk of the downward and horizontal displacement of the upper beam 2.
