PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic electroluminescence element that has no pixel defects, has high light emitting luminance and luminous efficiency, and has a long lifetime. SOLUTION: In the organic electroluminescence element, a hole injection layer and/or a hole-transporting layer contain a metal complex compound in a specific structure in an organic electroluminescence element, where an organic thin-film layer having at least a luminous layer and the hole injection layer and/or the hole-transporting layer is clamped between negative and positive electrodes.
