<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a watt-hour meter capable of altering a contractual useable maximum current without having to cut off a current in the case that a current used by a consumer has exceeded the contractual useable maximum current. <P>SOLUTION: Current detection means 102a and 102b monitor a current used by the consumer.
