<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system for performing local authentication in response to the states of respective authentication terminals by the respective authentication terminals at a server-down time, by performing highly accurate composite personal authentication by a server, in a personal authentication system for performing personal authentication by sending personal authentication information provided by the authentication terminal to the server. <P>SOLUTION: This personal authentication system performs the composite personal authentication of integrating a collation result of a plurality of kinds of biometrics information, by sending the plurality of kinds of biometrics information on a user provided by the authentication terminal 1, to the server having a database 23 storing the plurality of kinds of these biometrics information, when the server 2 is normal. The authentication terminal 1 has a database 14 for prestoring at least one kind of the plurality of kinds of biometrics information with every authentication terminal, and a local personal authentication means 15 performing the personal authentication or the composite personal authentication based on the biometrics information stored in the respective databases with every authentication terminal, instead of the server at the server 2-down time. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
