PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spacer particle dispersion liquid capable of materializing excellent adhesiveness between spacer particles and a substrate when disposing the spacer particles on the substrate having an alignment film of a liquid crystal display device, and to provide the liquid crystal display device made by using the spacer particle dispersion liquid. SOLUTION: The spacer particle dispersion liquid comprises the spacer particles, an adhesive and solvent, and is used when disposing the spacer particles at arbitrary positions on the substrate on which the alignment film of the liquid crystal display device is formed by using an inkjet device, wherein the adhesive is made of a vinyl type copolymer obtained by copolymerizing vinyl type monomer having at least one functional group selected from a group consisting of carboxyl group, hydroxyl group, amino group and amide group.
