PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article, the leakproof walls of which do not easily dislocate inward. SOLUTION: The absorbent article has the leakproof walls 5 located on both sides of the side facing the skin and longitudinally extending. Each of the leakproof walls 5 has a base wall portion 5a and a projecting portion 5b projecting nearly horizontally from the upper portion of the base ball portion 5a. The projecting portions 5b incline downward inward from outside in the width direction of the absorbent article 1. Part of the projecting portions 5b and part of the base wall portions 5a are joined with each other or part 51a of the base wall portions 5a and the other portions 52a of the base wall portions 5a are joined with each other, whereby the projecting portions 5b incline.
