PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To give an alarm by detecting the illegal withdrawal of tokens as committed even when a means for counting the number of tokens is invalidated. SOLUTION: The token dispensing machine 1 includes a token hopper 9 for storing tokens m replenished from outside until they are put out, a currency identifier 4 for identifying the amount of money fed, a putout device 10 which puts out the number of tokens m from the token hopper 9 corresponding to the amount of the money fed into the currency identifier 4 and a lower limit sensor 11 for detecting a number smaller than a prescribed value about the medals m in the token hopper 9 and gets a batch replenishment of a fixed number of tokens m from outside upon detection with the lower limit sensor 11 while the amount of money equivalent to sales is set for the number of tokens m per batch replenishment. It is provided with a fraudulence detector 17 which gives an alarm when a balance obtained by subtracting the amount of money fed into the currency identifier 4 from the amount of the money equivalent to sales reaches a prescribed value from the moment of detection with the lower limit sensor 11 to the moment of the completion of the batch replenishment immediately before it.
