PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To slowly lift a tool in lifting the tool by an operator's manual operation. SOLUTION: This tool lifting device 10 is constituted to rotate a rotation body 50 around a vertical shaft together with a cam follower 54 when an operating lever 52 is rotationally operated by the operator. At this time, the rotation body 50 descends following the cam follower 54 guided to descend by a cam 57 between a rotation start position and a rotation end position. The tool 30 descends interlocked with the rotation body 50 and reaches a position to come in contact with a workpiece to press it downward from a position spaced upward from the workpiece supported on a workpiece support base 25. Since the rotary motion of the rotation body 50 is thus converted into vertical motion of the tool 30, the tool 30 can be slowly put in vertical motion compared with the case of being directly put in vertical motion.
