PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a packing box with a buffer function, which enables a storage article to be smoothly put in an assembled box body, and which surely protects the storage article by virtue of a high buffer effect for the storage article. SOLUTION: This packing box comprises a gluing piece 22 which is composed of: a box body forming piece 12 integrally punched out from one blank sheet and which makes side surfaces glued to each other; and lid pieces 32, 36, 68 and 74 for closing an end of the assembled box body. The packing box also comprises: a pair of flaps 46 and 84 which continue into a pair of side surfaces 16 and 20 facing each other; and first supporting pieces 50 and 88 which continue into ends of the flaps 46 and 84 so as to almost perpendicularly rise on the inside of the box body. Second supporting pieces 56 and 98, which are positioned almost in parallel with the flaps 46 and 84, are provided in such a manner as to continue into ends of the first supporting pieces 50 and 88, respectively. Ends of the pair of second supporting pieces 56 and 98 abut on each other. The pair of second supporting pieces 56 and 98 is formed in such a shape that the length of continuous contact between the pair of second supporting pieces 56 and 98 is greater than that of the lid body 36.
