Disclosed are: a method for the evaluation of cancer, which can evaluate the condition of cancer accurately by utilizing the level of an amino acid in the blood, particularly the level of an amino acid associated with the condition of cancer in the blood; a cancer evaluation apparatus; a cancer evaluation method; a cancer evaluation system; a cancer evaluation program; and a recording medium. The method for the evaluation of cancer comprises the steps of: obtaining amino acid level data which relates to the amino acid levels in a blood collected from a subject to be evaluated; and evaluating the condition of cancer in the subject based on avalue of the level of at least one amino acid selected from Cys, Gln, Trp, Orn, Arg, Glu, His, Ser and ABA included in the amino acid level data for the subject.
