<p>An apparatus for canceling an emulation prevention byte in a video decoder is provided to enable a shifter to cancel the emulation prevention byte included into firs and second stream data and shift the remaining bytes of the first and second stream data left to generate output stream data, thereby improving the resolution of an image and processing stream data at high speed. A first buffer(210) stores a first stream data. A second buffer(220) stores a second stream data. An inspector(240) inspects whether an emulation prevention byte is included into the first and second stream data stored in the first and second buffers, and outputs an inspection signal. A shifter(250) cancels the emulation prevention byte from the first and second stream data stored in the first and second buffers in response to the inspection signal, and outputs the output stream data of a predetermined size. Further, the second stream data is transferred to the first stream data stored in the second buffer and stream data inputted from outside is stored in the second buffer.</p> |
