The invention relates to a method for the treatment of an aqueous solutio n, possibly comprising heavy and/or noble metals, with cyanide and/or comple xing agents, comprising a high temperature treatment of the solution in a cl osed reaction vessel, characterized in that a part of the treated solution i s drained from the reaction vessel after the high temperature treatment. The drained part is substituted at least partially by an untreated solution. Sa id untreated solution is high temperature treated with the remaining part of the treated solution in the reaction vessel. Furthermore, a device for the execution of said method is described.
