<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device, a display method, and a program that can provide displays of a plurality of display objects suitably to the respective display objects. <P>SOLUTION: Relative positions and distances of display objects 2a and 2b from a display means 3 are detected, and contents are displayed in a plurality of display areas 7a and 7b corresponding to positions of the respective display objects 2a and 2b. If the display areas 7a and 7b overlap with each other when the contents are displayed in the plurality of display areas 7a and 7b, the content for the display object 2a smaller in distance from the display means 3 is preferentially displayed.
