<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polymer electrostatic actuator and its manufacturing method for easily and surely connecting conductive layers in a body and connection terminals, without an increase in the number of manufacturing processes. <P>SOLUTION: Connector units 30, 40 are connected to side faces of the body 20 in which the conductive layers 21, 23, 25, 27 and insulating layers 22, 24, 26 are laminated. As a result, the body 20 can be formed as a simple film, having end faces flat on the periphery of the conductive layers 21, 23, 25, 27 and the insulating layers 22, 24, 26. Thus, when the body 20 is to be formed, complex processes for patterning or bonding the conductive layers 21, 23, 25, 27 are unnecessary. Accordingly, the body 20 is formed by continuously applying the conductive layers 21, 23, 25, 27 and the insulating layers 22, 24, 26, and the number of the manufacturing processes can be reduced. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
