<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure a stable contact pressure and an enhanced lifetime in a card contacting contact disposed in a card adapter or a cared connector. <P>SOLUTION: The card contacting contact 11 is arranged in a card insertion space 5f of the card adapter or the card connector and contacts a contact pad 2 disposed in one main surface of a card 1. The card contacting contact 11 is formed such that a first plate spring piece 11c having a first fulcrum portion 11b at one end thereof extends in a direction opposite to the card insertion direction from the first fulcrum portion 11b resiliently displaceably in the card thickness direction in a cantilever manner, and a second plate spring piece portion 11e having the other end of the first plate spring piece 11c as a second fulcrum portion 11d at one end thereof extends in the card insertion direction resiliently displaceably in the card thickness direction in a cantilever manner.
