PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a solid-state image pickup element capable of outputting a reference signal for correction from one place in an image pickup element, wherein correction accuracy is improved by a uniform reference signal. SOLUTION: The solid-state image pickup device 100 is provided with: a plurality of pixels 23 arranged in a two-dimensional array shape, a plurality of vertical charge transfer paths 25 for reading and transferring detection charge of the pixels 23 in each pixel column; and a horizontal charge transfer path 27 for receiving and transferring detection charge transferred by each vertical charge transfer path 25 provided along a transfer end part of each vertical charge transfer path 25, wherein the horizontal charge transfer path 27 is divided into a plurality of parts, and each output end part of each horizontal charge transfer path 27 is provided with outputting parts 29L and 29R for outputting a voltage value signal. A reference charge branching part 35 is arranged between a reference charge generating part 31 for generating a prescribed amount of reference charge and the divided horizontal transfer path 27 to branch and supply the reference charge generated by the reference charge generating part 31 to each divided horizontal transfer path 27.
