PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the occurrence of cleaning failure by preventing breakage of a blade member and deformation of a leaf spring member, which are caused by friction between an image holding member and the blade member. SOLUTION: The blade member 70 is attached to one end part 72A of the leaf spring member 72 and is brought into press contact with a surface of a photoreceptor drum 15 by the leaf spring member 72. The other end part 72B of the leaf spring member 72 is bonded to a blade attaching member 74 by an adhesive 76. The blade member 70 has a thickness t of 0.8 to 2.2 mm and has a break elongation S of 320 to 500% and has a tensile strength F of 430 to 720 kg/cm<SP>2</SP>. A linear pressure at which the blade member presses a photoreceptor drum 15 is 3.0 to 5.0 gf/mn, an angle formed between a tangent of the photoreceptor drum 15 in contact with an edge of the blade member 70 and a surface on the side of the photoreceptor drum 15 of the blade member is set to 8 to 16°.
