PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bearing for an alternator, providing improved dimensional stability, heat resistance, chemical resistance and the like in a using state that the bearing is rotated at a high speed at a high temperature, having desirable flexibility for holding when the rolling bearing is assembled, having long service life even in the using state that the bearing is rotated at the high speed at the high temperature, and having high reliability in the using state. SOLUTION: This rolling bearing for the alternator is a rolling bearing such as a deep groove ball bearing 11 supporting a rotor 6 rotating oppositely to a stator 5 of the alternator 1 for an automobile and a rotating shaft 3 thereof. A retainer retaining a rolling element of the rolling bearing is formed from a resin composition containing a polyamide 9T resin having a polymerization degree of 60-120 and a fibrous filler, and dimples are formed dispersedly in the sliding contact surface of the retainer with which the rolling element is in sliding contact to thereby provide oil-retainability.
