PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing plate for letterpress reversing offset printing which is capable of suppressing a breakage of a pattern due to clearing in midsection, while maintaining a dimensional accuracy of the pattern, and to provide a manufacturing method of a liquid crystal display device using this printing plate and the liquid crystal display device. SOLUTION: In the printing plate 6 for letterpress reversing offset printing, a necessary pattern part corresponding to the pattern to be transferred to a substrate is a recess, while an unnecessary pattern part corresponding to the pattern not to be transferred to the substrate is a projection. An auxiliary pattern 9 formed to be at least one projection pattern is provided inside at least one necessary pattern part of the printing plate 6. The breakage of the pattern called nakanuke (clearing in midsection) caused by the ink 5 of a blanket 1 that comes into contact with the bottom of the necessary pattern part of a large area and remains there can be suppressed by this auxiliary pattern 9, and even in the case when both of a high-precision pattern and a large-area pattern are present, the patterns can be formed by using the printing plate 6.
