PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a welding gun, in which opening/closing motions of gun arms are smoothly performed, and a gun opening degree can be made wide. SOLUTION: The welding gun opens or closes a pair of gun arms 1, 2, in which electrode tips 9, 11 are mounted on front end parts 1d, 2b, by driving an air cylinder 3. Rails 5, 6 consisting of straight parts 5a, 6a and curved parts 5b, 6b are laid on a gun arm 2, one of the gun arms, through a frame 4. Sliders 7a, 7b slidably fitted in the rails 5, 6, are fixedly attached to a gun arm 1, the other of the gun arms. A cylinder body 3a is turnably and pivotably supported on a pair of brackets 8, 8, which are projectingly arranged on a rear end part 2a of the lower side gun arm 2 so as to be separated from the front end part 2b.
