Composition as a strong odorant for a gas fuel, preferably natural gas comprises alkyl sulfide at 0.1-49.9 parts by weight; at least two of alkyl acrylates (II) at 50-99.8 parts by weight, where the alkyl having 1-12 carbon atoms, preferably 1-8 carbon atoms; a polymerization inhibitor compound (III) of the alkyl acrylates (II), preferably comprising a stable nitroxide radical, where the inhibitor compound is stable in both presence and absence of oxygen. Composition as a strong odorant for a gas fuel, preferably natural gas comprises alkyl sulfide at 0.1-49.9 parts by weight of formula R1-S-R2; at least two of alkyl acrylates (II) 50-99.8 parts by weight, where the alkyl having 1-12 carbon atoms, preferably 1-8 carbon atoms; an polymerization inhibitor compound (III) of alkyl acrylates (II) preferably comprising a stable nitroxide radical of formula N(R4)(R3)-O .> Either R1, R2 : 1-4C alkyl; or R1R2S : optionally saturated 3-5 membered ring (optionally substituted with 1-4C alkyl or 1-4C alkenyl); either R3, R4 : tert or sec 2-30C (preferably 4-15C) hydrocarbon radical (optionally carry S, P, N or O); or R3R4N : 4-10C (preferably 4-6C) membered hydrocarbon cyclic ring (optionally substituted). Independent claims are included for: (1) a process of odorization of an odorless fuel gas comprising adding the composition in very pure and diluted form; and (2) a gas fuel comprising the composition at 1-500 mg/Nm 3>, preferably 2-50 mg/Nm 3>. |
