A navigation method in a vehicle information terminal and an apparatus thereof are provided to prevent waste of time to drop by a gas station which is not located on a path to the destination. A navigation method in a vehicle information terminal includes the steps of: setting a path to a destination(S11); calculating a DTE(Distance To Empty) of the vehicle by checking the remaining fuel(S12); searching gas stations on the path based on the DTE(S13); selecting one of the gas stations the vehicle can reach with the remaining fuel(S14); notifying the driver with sound if the selected gas station is the last station which the vehicle is able to reach with the remaining fuel(S15,S16); and guiding the selected gas station if the driver selects road guidance to the selected gas station(S17,S18).
