A display device (12) includes a display panel unit (200) that includes a panel body (210) having a display screen (12A) for displaying information and a control board (220) on which a control circuit for controlling display on the display screen (12A) is mounted. The control board (220) is disposed on a back surface of the panel body (210) opposite the display screen (12A) and has a width (W 1 ) shorter than a width (W 2 ) of the panel body. The display device (12) further includes: a housing (12B) containing the display panel unit (200); and an antenna (400) built in the housing (12B) to perform communications. The display device (12) further includes a signal line (410) connected to the antenna (400) to transmit an electric signal carrying information communicated by the antenna (400), and extending along the back surface of the panel body (210) without interfering with the control board (220).
