A method for displaying title information in a video recording apparatus is provided to display the title information including a title identifier according to a title identification condition for a recorded title and search a title easily. If the reproduction of a recorded title is requested, a control block reproduces the corresponding title, simultaneously increases a count number, and stores the information(502). If title information about the recorded title is requested(504), the control block extracts a title identification condition(506). The control block extracts the title information according to the extracted title identification condition(508), and displays the extracted title information together with a title identifier according to the title condition(510).
