The present invention relates to a method for washing a polycarbonate (PC) article, wherein the PC article is washed with an acidic concentrate containing the following components:
a) at least one acid and
b) at least one compound selected from glycolic acid, benzoic acid, bromoacetic acid, sorbic acid, a peroxy acid, hydrogen peroxide, lactic acid, salicylic acid and capyclic acid.
