METHOD FOR INCREASING CALORIC VALUE OF GAS GENERATED FROM STEELWORK

A method for increasing heating value of gas generated from steelworks is provided to absorb and remove CO2 contained in the by-product gas by using ammonia liquid in order to increase heating value of the by-product gas. A method for increasing heating value of gas generated from steelworks by absorbing and removing CO2 contained in by-product gas from an iron mill includes a step of allowing the by-product gas to make contact with ammonia liquid whose concentration is 40g/L in an absorption tower(10), wherein the gas/liquid ratio of the by-product gas and the ammonia liquid is 40 to 120 and more than 90% of CO2 is removed.
