An outdoor unit of an air conditioner is provided to prevent deterioration of heat exchanger performance and to protect internal components from foreign substances coming from outside, by selectively covering a suction port through which air comes in with a suction port cover plate. An outdoor unit of an air conditioner comprises an outer case(100), a suction port(140), and a suction port cover plate(142). The outer case forms an exterior of the air conditioner. The suction port is formed on the outer case, serving as a passage through which air comes in. The suction port cover plate whose upper end is rotatably fixed to the outer case and lower end is selectively fixed to the outer case, is removably installed to the outer case and configured to selectively cover the suction port.
