Method of forming disk wheels

To produce wheel blanks, a rectangular metal strip of a given and consistent thickness is shaped into a partial ring arc by cold rolling using conical rollers. The cold rolling reduced the thickness at the outer side by at least 20%, and its periphery lies on an angle of 130-310degrees and preferably 180degrees. Further rounding gives a bandage, with a main angle to the symmetrical axis of 20-70degrees, and the ends are welded together. Further shaping gives the hub flange by rolling at the blank pot and compression at the hub flange.
