An apparatus for removing alien substances on a steel sheet in a plating apparatus is provided to remove impurities on the steel sheet effectively by adjusting magnetic force of electromagnets, and adhesion levels and rotary directions of brush rolls and rotary rolls. An apparatus for removing alien substances on a steel sheet in a plating apparatus comprises rotary rolls(130), a driving motor, and electromagnet roll parts(100). The rotary rolls have cylindrical shapes and are placed near a surface of the steel sheet. The driving motor rotates the rotary rolls. The electromagnet roll parts, placed in the rotary rolls, have electromagnets generating magnetic force near the steel sheet. Brush rolls(230) are installed next to the rotary rolls of the electromagnet roll parts on the same horizontal line. Brush roll parts(200) have driving motors to rotate the brush rolls.
