A method for preparation of precious metal compound and potassium chloride from manganese nodule is provided to maximize the volume of precious metal leached from the manganese nodules by optimizing concentration of hydrochloric acid solution, leaching temperature, leaching time, and concentration of the solid material of the liquid. A method for preparation of precious metal compound and potassium chloride from manganese nodule comprises the steps of: crushing manganese nodules in less than 5mm particle size range; inserting the crushed manganese nodule particles in a hydrochloric acid liquid and leaching precious metal; filtering the hydrochloric acid liquid, removing insoluble residue, and manufacturing filtrate containing molten precious metal; and adding KOH to the filtrate so that the filtrate is neutralized and filtered and the precious metal compound sludge and the potassiun chloride are obtained at the same time. |
