A device and a method to adjusting a scanning region are provided to enable a user to scan a desired region quickly by setting the scanning region with a convenient touch of a touch screen and a plurality of buttons. A touch screen(200) receives first and second positions selected by a user. A scanning region setting part(210) sets a region between the first and second position as a scanning region recognized by an image sensor module. The first and second positions are touched continuously by the user, and plural buttons correspond to each position of the image sensor module. The scanning region setting part sets the region between two buttons selected by the user as the scanning region recognized by the image sensor module.
