APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR POWER CONTROL OF WIRELESS NETWORK

An apparatus and a method for controlling power in a wireless network are provided to save energy effectively by minutely controlling power in units of frames. A communication controller(21) communicates with a different device through a certain time interval of a frame structure including a plurality of time intervals. A transmission module(22) performs physical layer processing to allow the communication controller to transmit data wirelessly. A power controller(23) controls power of the transmission module with respect to each time interval of the frame structure according to a time interval at which the communication controller can transmit data. The frame structure includes a beacon interval, and a CAP(Contention Access Period), a CFP(Contention Free Period). The CAP is controlled according to a CSMA/CA(Carrier Sense Multiple Access/Collision Avoidance) method.
