An LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to form a dielectric member on a connection member constructed by a pixel electrode for connecting electrically a space between sub pixels, thereby enhancing the display quality. A liquid crystal layer is sealed between the opposite substrates and includes plural pixels for displaying an image. A pixel comprises plural sub pixels formed by the alignment division. The sub pixels are connected with each other by a pixel electrode formed on the substrate. A notch is formed to a pixel electrode between sub pixels. A dielectric member(16) is formed to the pixel electrode between the sub pixels. The pixel is divided by forming a hole or a slit to the pixel electrode formed on the substrate or by the notch. The pixel is also divided by the dielectric member. The pixel electrode is formed on the substrate opposite to the substrate having the dielectric member. An alignment control factor(34) is formed on the pixel electrode located at the center of each sub pixel.
