<p>A process for producing hydrocarbons from a hydrocarbonaceous feedstock comprising the following steps:
(a) partially oxidising the hydrocarbonaceous feedstock to obtain synthesis gas;
(b) supplying the synthesis gas to a hydrocarbon synthesis reactor wherein the synthesis gas is catalytically converted at elevated temperature and pressure into hydrocarbons;
(c) discharging a liquid hydrocarbon product stream and a gaseous stream comprising gaseous hydrocarbon products, water vapour and unconverted synthesis gas from the hydrocarbon synthesis reactor;
(d) subjecting at least part of the gaseous stream to a catalytic water-gas shift conversion to obtain a shifted gaseous stream; and
(e) supplying at least part of the shifted gaseous stream to a hydrocarbon synthesis reactor wherein the synthesis gas is catalytically converted at elevated temperature and pressure into hydrocarbons.</p> |
