A temperature sensor (10) includes a probe section (12) for insertion into a hot zone (14). The probe section (12) includes a thermistor (26), a first lengthy pin (28) terminating at the thermistor (26), and a second lengthy pin (30) also terminating at the thermistor. A housing section (20) is on one end of the probe section (12) and outside of the hot zone (14). The housing section (20) includes a first spring (34) which biases the first pin (28) into contact with the thermistor (26), a second spring (36) which biases the second pin (30) into contact with the thermistor (26), a first electrical contact engaged with the first spring (34), and a second electrical contact engaged with the second spring (36).
