A flexible display apparatus and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to prepare an array pattern including inorganic materials, thereby preventing badness of the pattern alignment in a switching device. A switching device includes an inorganic layer(40c) and a gate electrode formed on a substrate having the flexibility. A gate insulating layer(30) insulates the gate metal. A semiconductor layer(40) is formed on the gate insulating layer and arranged at the position corresponding to the gate electrode. Source/drain electrodes(53a,53b) are overlapped to the semiconductor layer partially and arranged separately with a predetermined distance. The inorganic materials and the semiconductor layer are made of the same materials. A passivation layer(60) is formed on the entire surface of the substrate and has a contact hole penetrated to the position corresponding to a drain electrode. Plural pixel electrodes(70) are formed on the passivation layer and connected with the drain electrode.
