MOLD FOR MANUFACTURING A PRISM SHEET AND MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREOF

A mold for manufacturing a prism sheet and a method for manufacturing the same are provided to precisely machine a surface of a prism sheet with a sharp peak to improve optical characteristics of the prism sheet. A mold for manufacturing a prism sheet includes a linear type peak and a groove formed a surface of a truncated cone shape(510). A diameter of the truncated cone shape is gradually reduced in the other side direction from one side. A sharp-cornered angle of the peak is identical to or less than 70 degrees. A cutting tool(520) machines a surface of the truncated cone shape gradually reduced in the other side direction from one side to form the linear peak and the groove. A symmetry axis of the sharp-cornered angle of the cutting tool is slanted with a predetermined angle to a vertical direction of a center axis of a mold(530). A liquid crystal panel is arranged on an upper surface of an optical sheet.
