A retarding element fastens a piece of equipment (2) like a table locally between the piece of equipment and a supporting structure (3) and has a honeycomb structure (8) with a resistor (9). The resistor and/or a displacing device are integrated into the retarding element. The resistor reaches as far as the edge of the honeycomb structure and the displacing device can reach as far as the edge of the honeycomb structure. The resistor and the displacing device divide the honeycomb structure into multiple segments.
