Defibration of tobacco material

The assembly (1) to produce chopped tobacco, for manufacturing cigarettes, has a heated pressure chamber (2) with a tobacco entry (5) at the low pressure side and an outlet at the pressure side. A screw (3) moves the tobacco from the entry to the exit. The tobacco outlet has a gap (9) for the tobacco to move out and relax, with gap walls moving against each other. The chamber has inlet connections for conditioning and casing agents (6) and steam (7).
