METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR SIMULTANEOUS MEASUREMENT OF SURFACE MORPHOLOGY AND WHITENESS FOR WIRE PRODUCTS

A method and an apparatus for simultaneous measurement of surface morphology and whiteness for wire products are provided to maintain uniform quality of the wire products by measuring the whiteness of the wire products. A method for simultaneous measurement of surface morphology and whiteness for wire products includes the steps of: cutting off the wire product more than 1cm long to make a sample(2) and installing the sample on an observing instrument; adjusting the focus of a magnification lens(4) and a lighting on the observing instrument for observation of the sample; photographing the sample by a digital camera(5); transmitting image signals of the sample to a computer(9) through an image signal converter(8); and executing a program in the computer for analyzing the surface morphology and the whiteness by capturing an image from the image signal of the sample.
