METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR MANUFACTURING A WINDING FOR ELECTRICAL MACHINES

The method involves inserting coils in a pre-embossing station (25) with its longitudinal sides (17b) into embossing chambers (23) of an embossing die. A width of the chambers is selected so that two coil conductors (18) lie in parallel. The chambers are driven upwards and/or downwards by an embossing stamp and/or chamber base (23a), so that the coil conductors are aligned in parallel to each other in a region of the longitudinal sides. The coil conductors are embossed into a final slot shape in embossing slots of a resizing station by partial cross-sectional deformation. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a device for pre-embossing a stator winding of an electrical machine (2) an electrical machine comprising a stator winding with coil conductors.
