A method of manufacturing a titanium composite material is provided to distribute TiC particles in the titanium base uniformly by mixing titanium based metal with graphite and charging the mixture in a melting chamber. A method of manufacturing a titanium composite material comprises the steps of: mixing titanium sponge with graphite powder whose average particle diameter is 30 to 50 micron; charging the mixture in a melting chamber; and keeping the charged mixture at 1900 to 2100°C for 25 to 30 minutes under an argon gas atmosphere of 1.5x10^5 Pa.
