The device has a transmitter (8) releasing differential signal (38a,38b) corresponding to the data (16) at its differential output (20a,20b). An ohmic voltage divider (12) is arranged between the outputs (26a,26b) of the transducer (10). The voltage divider has two nodes (30a,30b), at which the inputs (32a,32b) of a differential amplifier (14) are attached. The differential amplifier has an outlet (34) for releasing the output signals corresponding to the data. An independent claim is also included for a method for operating the device.
