A display apparatus is provided to execute an impulsive operation by supplying black data pulses to respective pixels without increasing an operating frequency of a gate or data driver. A display apparatus includes plural gate and data lines, gate and data drivers(200), and plural pixels. The gate and data lines are crossed to each other. The gate driver, connected to the gate lines, sequentially outputs delayed first gate pulses to the gate lines and sequentially outputs second gate pulses to the gate lines before outputting the first gate pulses to the last one of the gate lines. The data driver is connected to data lines and generates a data signal including normal data pulses corresponding to the first gate pulses and black data pulses corresponding to the second gate pulses, to the data lines. The pixels, connected to the gate and data lines, receive the normal and black data pulses in response to the first and second gate pulses.
